Sequence the launch year. Follow the programme calendar, choose the channels and test illustrative workload against monthly capacity.
An instrument for the decision
Turn the launch sequence into a capacity conversation. The source calendar assigns a focus and primary channels to each month. Remove channels, set an effort allowance and see which months need attention.

PROGRAMME CALENDAR
31 channel slots3 pre-launch · 3 launchSelected month, live
Expand the programme calendar into twelve monthly rows. Active month-channel slots × illustrative hours per slot = monthly hours. Sum monthly hours for annual effort. Compare each month with its own entered capacity; spare hours in another month do not cancel an overload.
Hₘ = nₘ × e
Uₘ = Hₘ / C
Oₘ = max(0, Hₘ − C)

A planning aid. Not investment, legal or tax advice. Verify inputs and boundaries before an operational decision.
Select a segment on this ring and the three sums follow the month. Illustrative effort and capacity.
03 / Annual reconciliation
Bars show illustrative hours on a common scale. The dashed rule marks monthly capacity. Hover or focus a month to read it. The dashed outline is scenario A: the programme default until you save your own. The row under the bars shows B minus A in hours.
Change in hours, B minus A
31 active + 0 omitted = 31 source slots. 31 slots × 4 h = 124 illustrative hours. Phase subtotals reconcile to the annual total.
04 / Keep the alternative
Until you save, A is the programme default and B is what you are editing. Save the current inputs as scenario A, then change B to test capacity or channel choices. A stays fixed until you replace or clear it. It is held in this tab and included in a copied scenario link. It is not uploaded or recovered after an unshared reload.
Scenario A: programme default, 124 h, 31 slots.
Change an input to see B move against A. Annual hours, active slots and months over capacity are compared.
05 / Method
Step 1 of 4 · channels
Each month intersects the source channel list with your enabled channels. Direct and direct sales stay separate labels, as do trade and trade press. No frequency, audience or response rate is inferred.
nₘ = |source ∩ enabled|
Step 2 of 4 · assignments
Active slots plus omitted slots equal source slots. With every source channel enabled, the pre-launch phase holds eight assignments, the launch phase seven and the sustained phase sixteen.
Σ nₘ + omitted = source
Step 3 of 4 · allowance
Hours are slots times the illustrative allowance. Capacity is tested month by month. Select a month in the ring to see its sums.
Hₘ = nₘ × e
Uₘ = Hₘ / C
Oₘ = max(0, Hₘ − C)
Step 4 of 4 · boundaries
Overload is tested where it happens. Capacity must be positive so the ratio has a denominator. Zero effort means an uncosted schedule, not work that needs no people. Inputs outside the stated ranges are refused and the old result is removed.
These are arithmetic outputs of a calendar convention, not observations of a factory team. Illustrative effort and capacity.

The table expands the programme’s grouped months without adding activities. It shows the primary channels beside the subset you retain. Sort a column, filter by channel, or choose a row to set the active month on every ring. Use it as the start of a resourced editorial calendar with owners and approvals.

Illustrative author assumption: a half-day allowance per assignment. Replace with your own briefing, production, review and publication effort.
Illustrative author assumption: three default allowances. This is an available communications envelope, not total staff hours.
Source-preserving display default. Turning a channel off is a user scenario, not a revised programme recommendation.
Illustrative editable date. The source does not commit a real launch date; moving it shifts labels, not the sequence.
Interface position only. Changing it selects the work order and highlights the segment without changing annual effort.
08 / Use the plan with judgement
Use the month view to align communications with sample, quality and dispatch gates. The launch phase is lit here because it asks the most of the plant.
Use omitted slots to identify where technical evidence still needs an owner. Switch a channel off in the instrument and its cells light here.
Read the schedule as a resource and governance question. None of these views establishes demand, a financial return or a completed milestone.
An event, a tender response and a social update can take very different effort. A single allowance makes pressure visible but cannot allocate a real team. Do not read the percentage as staff utilisation.
Ring lensEvery slot weighs the same
A provenance campaign needs traceable records, retail activation a fulfilment plan, an impact report a measured boundary. The instrument verifies no sustainability claim and decides no tender route.
Ring lensEvery cell needs an owner
Shared assets, agency retainers, translation, procurement lead times and supplier approvals are not counted. This is not investment, legal or tax advice.
Ring lensThe halo is work outside the sum
09 / Use the result in its boundary
A channel assignment is an instruction to prepare, approve and resource communications. It is not evidence of customer demand or a completed launch. Confirm the production and measurement gates before publishing the message.
